Marraké products are made in India with Moroccan-sourced botanicals, and are formulated for Indian hair, lips, skin and climate. Everything on this page is here so that you can use them safely and get the most from them.

Always patch test first

Even the gentlest formulation can disagree with an individual skin. Before using any Marraké product for the first time:

  1. Apply a small amount to the inner forearm or behind the ear.
  2. Leave it for 24 hours without washing the area.
  3. If there is any redness, itching, burning, swelling or rash, do not use the product.

Repeat the patch test for each new product, and again if you are returning to a product after a long gap.

If a reaction occurs

Stop using the product immediately, rinse the area with cool water, and consult a dermatologist or physician if the reaction persists or is severe. Please also let us know at customer@marrake.in, giving the product name and batch number. We log every report we receive.

Read the ingredients

The complete ingredient list is printed on every product carton and label. If you have a known allergy or sensitivity to any ingredient, please read the full list before purchasing, and do not use the product if it contains that ingredient. Natural and plant-derived ingredients can cause allergic reactions just as synthetic ones can.

Please speak to a doctor first if

Using our lip products

Our Lip Drip lip oils are formulated for use on the lips, and we know that small amounts of any lip product are inevitably ingested in normal use. They are made to cosmetic safety standards with that in mind.

Even so, they are cosmetics and not food. Please use them only as directed, do not deliberately swallow the product, and keep them out of the reach of children, for whom a shimmer finish and a sweet scent can be an unfortunate combination. If a child swallows a significant quantity, contact a doctor.

Do not apply to broken, bleeding or severely cracked lips, or to a cold sore.

Using our hair products

Our Moroccan Hair Gloss Serum is for use on hair and, where directed, on the scalp. Avoid contact with the eyes. If product enters the eye, rinse thoroughly with clean water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.

General safety

Storage and shelf life

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Indian summers are hard on cosmetics: heat can alter the texture, scent and stability of natural oils, so please do not leave products in a car or on a sunny windowsill.

Use each product before the expiry date printed on the pack, and within the period after opening shown by the open-jar symbol on the label:

Product Shelf Life Use Within, After Opening
Moroccan Hair Gloss Serum (Main Character Hair), 20 ml 24 months 12 months
Lip Drip, Pink Shimmer, 8 ml 36 months 12 months
Lip Drip, Dolce Vita, 8 ml 36 months 12 months

Discard any product whose colour, texture or smell has changed noticeably.

Natural variation is normal

We use botanical ingredients, and nature is not uniform. Slight batch-to-batch differences in shade, scent or texture are a normal characteristic of formulations made this way. They are not a defect, and not a cause for concern.

These are cosmetics, not medicines

Marraké products are cosmetics intended to cleanse, condition, protect and beautify. They are not medicines, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition. Nothing on our website, packaging or social channels should be read as medical advice, or as a substitute for consulting a qualified healthcare professional.

Results vary

Hair, lips and skin respond differently from person to person, depending on genetics, health, environment and the rest of your routine. Any before-and-after imagery, review or testimonial reflects one individual's experience and is not a promise of the results you will get. We do not guarantee any specific outcome.

Our liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any adverse reaction, injury or loss resulting from a failure to patch test, from use contrary to the directions on the pack, from use despite a known allergy to a listed ingredient, or from use of a product after its expiry date. This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other applicable law, and it does not limit our liability for a product that is genuinely defective.
